The City of Charleston is home to dozens of Victorian era homes.  Driving tour of North Main, East Commercial, and East Cypress will take you by most of them.  The Historical Society is housed in a lovely three story home circa 1899.

Located in Whipple Park in Charleston, found on Beasley Road at Exit 10 on I-57 and Missouri Hwy 105, immediately southeast of the interchange.  View mural depictions of journal entries recorded during their encampment in our area, a black granite map of the entire journey from Monticello to the Pacific and the flags of the three nations which flew over our area.
