Cotton Belt Caboose
Located in the downtown area of East Prairie, the Cotton Belt Caboose is home to a private collection of Cotton Belt Train memorabilia.  The caboose serves as a reminder of the beginnings of early East Prairie as the town sprang up-up alongside the newly laid tracks of the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad in the early 1880's.  Today, the trains are gone, but the caboose stands as a reminder of the early history and the development of the town of East Prairie.
